Good things in Small Packages

Oooh, I love gifts! September has been a gift-y month for me.

Hostess gift from the lovely ladies at the INC, from Sobral. I've already gotten so many compliments while wearing this bright, spring-ish piece. Turn your head sideways to fully appreciate...

Mr. Bugigangas had to go to Colombia a few weeks ago for business. He returned with two bags of Colombian coffee and a hand grinder. It takes a lot more grinding than we expected, but there's a certain pleasure in drinking coffee that you worked that hard for...

The hubs also let me buy a dress for an upcoming wedding, glorious loveliness that is this:

Pinterest is dangerous. But thankfully, there are coupon codes, and surprise sales, and you end up finding things 75% off retail. Dangerous, but at least not horrific on the wallet. :) The photo is from the retailer's website; they are sneaky and won't let you copy, but don't seem to understand the idea of screen shots. Plus, do they realize how lucrative allowing people to PIN would be???

And...we had our sponsored kids over today for an afternoon of art and bonding. We painted small canvases I picked up at the art store, and enjoyed the paint splattering and potato stamping and general mess before tucking into lovely sausage, cheese and filet mignon on the grill. Oh, Brazil, how I love your beef prices! So now we have these three lovelies to hang somewhere:

After painting, there was beach time, and I remembered why I dislike this beach so much. Wind. Biting sand. It was a bit like being at the desert, in a sand storm, in the winter. I nursed my goosebumps in between chasing after the kids and laughing as they belly flopped into three inches of water, just to say they'd been swimming. I remember doing that when I was a kid, too...

(Anyone have ideas on why my silly photo uploader keeps randomly rearranging my photos into the wrong orientation?)
