Amoxocilina...

Yes. Overseas flights, business class or not, do not seem to agree with me. I am happily taking American-missionary-prescribed antibiotics in an attempt to make my throat-of-fire and smoker's cough turn into nothing more than a cold...and not the pneumonia that I've suffered on my other returns to Brazil.

I'm hunting frantically for an apartment before I get kicked out of this one. Does anyone know of a good Brazilian co-signer? Because I need one!

In other news...the weather can't decide whether to be hot or cold, so I live with a scarf around my neck and a tank top on...

Hey, Jenna the cigarettes don't help at all. But then you have probably heard that 2 million times. I seem to have lost your mom's direct email address and I don't know if I have yours. I will post my "junk" email here and check it in the next few days then send you my real one. I don't really have good news about the fiador but I have suggestions. The truth is it is nearly impossible to find a fiador. People normally only do this for their relatives and then few are actually acceptable fiadors. They must own unemcumbered legally registered homes and go through a background check. So let me make my suggestions in person. Also, it probably is not a bad idea if you move from the favela. I would still like to communicate with your mom so you can send her email also. kisses

oops...that should read "sounds-like-a-smoker's-cough." The only smoke I'm getting is secondhand...and not all of it from cigarettes. Oh, the travails of living in the favela!!!
