Sunday Scribblings: 3 comments on "Design"

1. It was almost a no-brainer to choose the design of my new book. After long sessions of tossing out title possibilities, we settled on "The Lonely Tourist's Guide to Urban War Zones." I've only ever lived in one kind of urban war zone, the infamous favelas of Rio de Janeiro. And just down the beach from us is a landmark, one which you probably won't see in the "Rio" film: Vidigal. Vidigal must have the most spectacular views in the city, perched above the curving road to Barra, looking out over the crashing waves on the rocks below, and looking sideways down the long expanse of the Leblon and Ipanema beaches. That's Vidigal, down on the left...can't you just feel the sea breeze on your face?

2. Best website I've found yet for design inspiration: Curbly It's kind of addictive!

3. How do you like the new design of this blog? I'm still trying to find a look that fits both who I am and what I write about. This new color scheme really makes me happy, but I'm not so sure about some of the other features.

Hi Jenna,

Nice beach, what a beautiful part of the world you live in.

I LOVE the design of your blog...the colours and design in the graphic at the top are evocative and festive, in a relaxed way....is that a contradiction, it makes sense to me anyway :)

Thanks for commenting on my blog about breastfeeding...gives me hope to know things are moving along in the right direction.

All the best x

I love the design of your blog (and feel I really need work on mine - suggestions welcome). I love the warm colorful flowers inviting guests to romp and play.

Oh my, senior moment, forgot your other two questions. Hmm.

Oh yes, loved the lazy seducing story - and I am going to check out the site you recommended.

Well, I loved my visit and your site
